Learning Spanish with Audio

With all the options available for Spanish learners, it is sometimes difficult to know where to start, or what to do to take your learning on to the next level. There are many specific things that you can do to make great strides, but a common theme throughout them is to focus on spending more time listening and speaking.

Learning Spanish with audio is a great way to ensure that your time is spent on these two skills.

There are lots of ways that you can implement more audio into your Spanish learning, for example:

  • When choosing a Spanish learning book, whether it be for grammar, vocabulary, or general learning, choose one that has audio so that you can hear the Spanish being learned. Then listen to the audio, repeating the sounds you hear a few times over.
  • If you are a beginner, start learning with Spanish audio lessons, or an interactive course that includes a lot of audio. Especially choose one that encourages you to repeat the Spanish introduced and gets you creating your own Spanish sentences.
  • Listen to lots of Spanish, with the majority of your time spent listening to Spanish that has been adapted for your level. Listening to real Spanish is beneficial, but you should focus on listening to things that have been especially recorded for you Spanish ability (see Spanish listening practice)

A lot of learners go through different learning materials without hearing the sounds and without using their spoken Spanish. Learning Spanish with audio focuses your learning on to these two skills, which are the most difficult to learn and most used.

It is there necessary to spend most of your time learning Spanish focusing on listening and speaking, and learning Spanish with audio does exactly that.
